A Wonderful Christmas

We had a wonderful Christmas this year! We began by having the Bakers over for our annual Christmas Eve breakfast. That afternoon we went to church at 4, and although I probably say it every year, this year's service was the best I have ever attended. Mom spent the night with us, as always, on Christmas Eve.

We all woke up about 7 on Christmas morning to the most beautiful snow! John seeing the snow fall for the first time.

John loved playing with his new train, exploring his new potty and pulling treats out of his stocking. He helped Elizabeth discover her gifts from Santa, too! Jason took John outside to play in the snow for a few minutes, and he loved eating the snowball Jason made for him.

We headed over to the Bakers about 10:30 for a wonderful brunch, and then back home to rest up and pack up to head to Darden for Christmas night. We arrived at the lake about 4:30 and enjoyed lots of visiting, wonderful food and watching the children open their gifts and stockings from Bo and Big Daddy. 20 people...10 grandchildren, 6 of whom are in diapers = wild but fun!

We arrived home yesterday afternoon and have enjoyed our new gifts, but most of all, spending time with each other. I don't think John quite knows the true meaning of Christmas yet, but he managed to put baby Jesus back in the manger while playing with our nativity set-it's a start!

We hope you all had a Merry Christmas!

Three Months

Elizabeth turned three months old December 9th. She is the sweetest, easiest baby ever! I know I keep saying that, but she is! She has been sleeping through the night since she was 6 weeks old and has just added to her hours since then...she sleeps about 12 hours at night now and cat naps throughout the day. She began eating three meals a day about a month ago, and is getting ready to start rice cereal soon! She loves to smile and laugh and is thrilled to be in a room full of people...she hates being by herself. She LOVES her silly big brother and watches him constantly. She is such a joy!

Sarah is 2 and the Christmas Parade

We enjoyed celebrating Sarah's birthday party the first Saturday of December. I can't believe she is already 2! Her birthday breakfast was held before everyone headed downtown to the Christmas parade.

Thanksgiving

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving in Memphis at Aunt Barbara and Uncle Jim's house! John was most excited about eating a delicious lunch and Elizabeth was as sweet and easy as always! Thanksgiving day, John wore a special outfit that belongs to Aunt Jane. It was first bought for Tom, her oldest son, and each of the grandchildren have worn the sweater and knickers at some point.
