Christmas 2012

We have had a wonderful month of Christmas fun...and a great Christmas Eve and Christmas Day! We've celebrated the birth of Baby Jesus, made cookies, enjoyed parties, sang songs, opened gifts, eaten too much good food, slept a little extra (yea!) and enjoyed being with family and friends. We hope you've had a wonderful time celebrating Christmas and we are looking forward to a very happy New Year!

Our Elf on a Shelf

We had a special package arrive tonight-our very own Elf on a Shelf! John and Elizabeth loved opening their surprise, hearing the story and thinking of a name for him. The also LOVED the Elf on a Shelf DVD-it was precious! We could only touch him tonight as he arrived-never again after that.

Thanksgiving 2012

We started our week off by a trip to Memphis to visit family, shop and play a bit. We took John and Elizabeth to the Children's Museum and had a great time! The mini Kroger was their favorite-they looked like they were on the old tv show "Supermarket Sweep!"

We spent Thanksgiving at our house. It was such a great day, and John and Elizabeth had the best time playing outside this afternoon in the beautiful weather.

John's FUMC Three Year Old Thanksgiving Program

John's sweet Thanksgiving program was last Thursday. We loved seeing our precious pilgrim, along with his friends. They did a great job!

Halloween 2012

We had such a fun Halloween!

John had his class party with sweet friends at day school on Tuesday.

We went to church Halloween night for Trunk or Treat. Our church, First Presbyterian, and All Saints' Episcopal had a huge street party and Trunk or Treat...bouncy houses, hamburgers and LOTS of fun! My precious cowboy and cowgirl had a great time!

When we got home, we visited with a few neighbors on our street...we love our La La and Jim Jim! We had a Happy Halloween, and hope you did too! Can you believe it is already November?!

Pumpkin Carving Fun!

We had a great time tonight bringing "Jack" to life! John named our jack-o-lantern, and he and Elizabeth decided he needed 10 teeth. Daddy is so good, and Jack now has a perfect spot on our porch for the next few nights. Our pumpkin pudding was a fun treat during carving! It has gotten cold (the lows tonight are near freezing) so fuzzy, footie pj's were a must! Yea for Halloween!
