John and Daddy

I caught these sweet photos earlier today after John finished his Tummy Time. He loves his dad so much!

Splish splash, I was taking a bath!

Goodbye belly button cord, hello bath! John had his first bath last night after his cord stump fell off. He took to it like a little fish! He looked somewhat puzzled at first, then relaxed and loved it. He seemed so happy to finally be getting cleaned by a real bath, not just washcloths anymore. The only time he cried was when Jason took him out of the water. However, he loved being wrapped in the towel and drying off afterwards. As you can see, the finished product slept well. We definitely think we have a water baby on our hands!

Coming Home Gown

I failed to post a photo last week of us the day we came home from the hospital. Not only was it a wonderful day, but the gown John wore home was very special. His second cousins, Coleman and Miller Frazier, both wore the same gown the day each of them came home. Coleman was born in 1993 and Miller in 1995. Both are great guys, and we were so happy John was able to wear their special gown. I had their names and birthdates monogrammed on the slip, as well as John's. Hopefully it will continue to be passed down for years to come.

Tummy Time

John is enjoying tummy time on his big mat from Amelia and Chad. He is doing great at strengthening his neck, back and arm muscles. As you can see, he is holding his head up for a few seconds, and turns it from side to side. What a big boy!

My Cool Worm Shoes

Thanks to Aunt Jessie, Russell and Charlie for sending John his cool worm shoes! He loves wearing them.

The Many Faces of John

This is about all we have done lately; sit and watch the many faces of John. He has more expressions than we can count, and each is wonderful to watch! Here we see him contemplating the meaning of life, pouting, relaxing and having a major yawn.

John made an early arrival on Monday! Although he was not due for two more weeks, he had different plans. Our first week at home has been wonderful! He is such a sweet baby. He is eating and sleeping well, and constantly making us smile and laugh. He definitely has two proud parents! Here are a few photos of John's first days-enjoy!
