Big Little One Month Old

I'm about two weeks behind in posting John's one month old photo-here it is! He is growing and changing so much each day; he's no longer the small newborn he was six weeks ago! We had to go to the doctor for the second time yesterday with a clogged tear duct (which is much better today, thanks to new eye drops.) Mom and I couldn't believe it when the nurse weighed John-he is 11 lbs! We go back in about a week and a half for his eight week check up and shots. We can't wait to see what his weight and length are then-he is such a big boy! He can now hold hold his head up for a few seconds, rotate it from side to side, coo often and roll from his back to his side! His sweet personality is becoming more evident each day, and we love it!

John's Nursery

I just realized I've never posted photos of John's nursery. Here it is! He has spent a little time in his crib, and we plan to move him to it full time within the coming weeks (he's still sleeping in the Pack and Play and bouncy seat in our bedroom.)

Sweet Smiles

We've been trying to catch a photo of John smiling, which he is doing more and more of each day. He has a slight smile here; hopefully more smiling photos to come!

First PJs

Since he was born, John had mostly been wearing gowns at night. However, he has outgrown many of these, and we began putting him in PJs recently. We thought he looked like such a big boy in these, which was the first pair he wore. Thanks to cousin Sarah for letting us borrow them!

Fun Time!

John loves his activity mat his Aunt Dottie gave him! He spends some time on it each day. He especially enjoys making faces and cooing at the "baby" in the mirror!
