A Wonderful Day!

We had John's birthday party today-what fun! The babies seemed to enjoy cooling off in the water and I think everyone enjoyed visiting with each other. Thanks to our sweet family and friends, it was a wonderful day! John is a blessed boy!

Happy Birthday, John!

John was two years old yesterday! We started the celebration off with lots of balloons and Shipley's doughnuts for breakfast.
Elizabeth enjoyed John's birthday breakfast, too!
After that, it was time to open Mom and Dad's gifts...
Books-our favorite!Next we took John to playschool to have a fun day with friends! We left cookies for the sweet toddlers to have after lunch.
For supper, we went to...Chuck E. Cheese! This was John's first trip, and he didn't know what to think. He could hardly take it all in!
He loved the yellow truck-we used three tokens on it!
John also decided it was better to interact with the ski ball game!
Dad was able to sort of explain how the game is supposed to be played (although John still disagreed, so we moved on to another spot!)
Playing in front of the blue screen and seeing yourself on TV is so fun!!! The last experience before eating supper-riding the big rocking horse with Dad! Enjoying cheese pizza and for the first time, Sprite!
It was a wonderful day, and more fun to come on Saturday at the party. Check back for photos!

Getting Ready to be TWO!

I caught this photo tonight before John was asleep-his last day to be a one year old. I can't believe he will be TWO tomorrow! He is such a precious, joyful blessing (even in the midst of a tantrum!) Birthday fun starts in the morning...more photos coming soon!

Fourth of July

We enjoyed the Fourth of July at Darden. There was a lot of swimming...

and floating...

good eating...

more floating...

flag waving...

boat riding...

and cute shoe wearing!

We had a great Fourth and hope you did, too!

Pink!!!

Last Saturday we went to our friends' pink or blue party. We enjoyed a great meal and loved seeing this sweet couple cut their cake to find out if they were having a boy or a girl. The cake was bright pink inside-so fun!

How precious is this fruit display done by the grandmother-to-be?!
