Pumpkin Patch 2010

A couple of years ago, Jason's family began visiting the Pumpkin Patch on a Saturday in late October to celebrate Big Daddy's birthday. Each year we have so much fun, and yesterday was no exception! Last year John was so small, we didn't venture into the patch, but he loved it this year. Thank you Bo and Big Daddy for a great day!

Our Very Own Pumpkin Patch

We planted a Japanese maple last year, and Jason used the pumpkins and gourds I decorated with last fall as compost around the tree. We never dreamed one of the pumpkin seeds would sprout and we would have our very own "pumpkin patch!" We had three pumpkins start growing, but only one survived. Last weekend we had John pick it!

Elizabeth's First Sunday at Church

Last Sunday was our first day back to church, and it was wonderful to return. Elizabeth wore this beautiful gown that is a hand me down from her cousin Anna Garris. She wore AG's coming home gown to church today, but would not humor her mother by wearing the matching bonnet :(

Pigskins in the Park

Last Saturday evening we enjoyed Pigskins in the Park at Fairpark. The MSU and Ole Miss games were shown on a jumbotron and lots of food and fun were had by everyone! John especially loved ringing his cowbell, and a few of his Ole Miss and even LSU buddies got in on the action (much to their parents' dismay.)

It was one of John's latest nights by far-he got in the bed at 10. We thought we'd catch a photo of Elizabeth next to him, which he thought was the best! Such a fun way to spend a Saturday night!
