Catching Up

Lately life has been busy (as always) but also kind of slow. A few pictures of what we've been up to... Our elf, Howie, made a special trip back one Saturday in January with one last gift for John. About 3 days before Christmas, John told Howie he really wanted a train with the number 10. Of course we went to work trying to find it, and discovered it was retired :( Finally located one and it arrived last week! The best part is, its name is Douglas, which is John's middle name, as well as Jason's and his dad's and grandfather's name. A special train for a special little boy! Lots of yard projects going on! John's days of footed pjs and one piece outfits are pretty much over (sniff, sniff.) Our big boy is growing up! Just too funny not to post! It's all about being a princess these days... Family game night (crazy hair included) Jason and I had a great time, as always, at this year's Charity Ball. Enjoying Shrove Tuesday fun at church! We haven't had a lot of snow this year, but we're happy with any little bit we get! Our MSU cowgirl ballerina :) We have enjoyed so many sweet friends' birthday parties lately...Milly, Burt, Bryce, Meg, Francis and Macpherson and Murphy. For some reason, the only pics. I've caught at any parties is from Murphy's farm party recently. All of the parties were so fun, and these two loved playing with their buddies! We had a great visit at the start of Spring Break with cousins Taylor and Katherine at Mamaw and Papaw's in Corinth! When Aunt Leigh came last week, we went to the mall but forgot our strollers were not in the van. So, we used a mall stroller-these two LOVED it! They thought they were on a ride at an amusement park! Sporting our St. Patrick's gear and enjoying lunch at the Don't Be Cruel BBQ Duel! We enjoyed mostly beautiful weather last week during Spring Break. A little T-Ball lesson from Dad...winter has shown back up for a few days, but we know spring weather is around the corner! Jason grew this out for the Mustache Bash we enjoyed last night, which supports the Autism Center in Tupelo. After a WEEK of passing the stomach virus around, we are on the mend! We enjoyed a little Easter egg hunt in our pjs, and we're ready for more Easter fun this week!

Valentine's Day Fun

We had a fun Valentine's Day! I surprised Jason with Dave Matthews tickets that morning, and John and Elizabeth each had a fun book, new cups and treats when they woke up. I had a great morning at school with my 20 cuties, and they brought me the sweetest surprises and even presented me with a class book they had made for me! I left at 11:30 to go to John and Elizabeth's school to help with his party. Boss and I had fun serving his sweet class lunch, and watching them exchange Valentines. Elizabeth's little class enjoyed cookies Boss had made for them, too. We had a fun family dinner together that night...a sweet day to celebrate each other!

Happy New Year!

We had a wonderful New Year's at home...so far the year has gotten off to a busy and great start!

Christmas 2012

We have had a wonderful month of Christmas fun...and a great Christmas Eve and Christmas Day! We've celebrated the birth of Baby Jesus, made cookies, enjoyed parties, sang songs, opened gifts, eaten too much good food, slept a little extra (yea!) and enjoyed being with family and friends. We hope you've had a wonderful time celebrating Christmas and we are looking forward to a very happy New Year!

Our Elf on a Shelf

We had a special package arrive tonight-our very own Elf on a Shelf! John and Elizabeth loved opening their surprise, hearing the story and thinking of a name for him. The also LOVED the Elf on a Shelf DVD-it was precious! We could only touch him tonight as he arrived-never again after that.
Meet "Howie," our very own scout elf!
