As you can see, John had a wonderful first birthday! After his morning nap, he, Boss and I started the afternoon by going to the mall for lunch at Chick-Fil-A and then a ride on the carousel, both of which he LOVED! (Dad had to work at the field house this afternoon, so he wasn't able to join us until later.) Next, we went to Midnite Pottery to have John's hands and feet imprinted-can't wait to see the final result in a few weeks! After getting home and taking a THREE hour nap, John woke up and a bit later had supper. Afterwards, we each enjoyed a cupcake, and John got in plenty of practice as you can see before he has his smash cake at his party on Saturday! However, he wasn't a big fan of the candle, so I'm not sure how that will go at his party...after his cupcake, he had a long bath and some time to wind down after a busy, sugary day. He went to bed a little later than his usual time, and is the sweetest, most precious one year old I have ever seen. What a wonderful day (and year) it has been!
