Baby Gul Turns ONE!

Last Friday was Elizabeth's first birthday-where has this year gone?! We enjoyed Lost Pizza for dinner and cupcakes from Creative Cakes. Elizabeth (or Baby Gul, as John calls her) LOVED her pizza and ENTIRE cupcake! We spent the rest of the evening getting ready for a sweet pink party the next day for a sweet little girl. Of course John enjoyed his cupcake, too! Books from Mama, Daddy and John-Elizabeth loves her baby dolls, so Little Mommy was a perfect book for her. My Name is Elizabeth is a precious book about a little girl, named Elizabeth of course, who is so happy a queen is named after her!

Elizabeth is such a joy. She is crawling everywhere-she's super fast! She pulls up and cruises around on furniture. She has stood a few seconds by herself, but is not quite walking yet. However, what she doesn't have in walking she makes up in talking-all the time! She says mama, dada, bye bye and baby really well-and lots of other words we have yet to learn! She has made the transition from bottle to cup and formula to milk really well. She LOVES her new menu of table food-and although she doesn't eat much, she prefers to feed herself completely! She weighs 21 lbs. and is almost 30 in. We visited Midnite Pottery last week to have Elizabeth's 1 year hand prints and foot prints made-can't wait to pick them up in a few weeks! We love "Baby Gul" to pieces and her sweetness is a blessing!
