A Beautiful Weekend
We enjoyed SUCH gorgeous weather this weekend...and are enjoying a little rain right now! The beginning of fall has been wonderful. Jason had to go to Amory on Saturday to pick up some furniture we received after his grandfather passed away (including a piano which John and Elizabeth LOVE-photos coming soon!) While he was gone, Mom and I took the babies to Ballard Park. The weather was perfect and they loved watching the ducks. We strolled them all around, but didn't get out to play...it was close to nap time and there were older children on the playground-John thinks he's as big as a five year old, and Elizabeth thinks so too!

Elizabeth's First Birthday Party
Elizabeth's first birthday party last Saturday was wonderful! She wore the same dress and bib that our niece, Sarah, wore for her first birthday party. Of course Elizabeth loved her smash cake I made-just like her cupcake the day before, she ate almost all of it! We enjoyed spending time with family and friends to celebrate Elizabeth's first year-what a wonderful day it was!
Baby Gul Turns ONE!
Last Friday was Elizabeth's first birthday-where has this year gone?! We enjoyed Lost Pizza for dinner and cupcakes from Creative Cakes. Elizabeth (or Baby Gul, as John calls her) LOVED her pizza and ENTIRE cupcake! We spent the rest of the evening getting ready for a sweet pink party the next day for a sweet little girl.
Elizabeth is such a joy. She is crawling everywhere-she's super fast! She pulls up and cruises around on furniture. She has stood a few seconds by herself, but is not quite walking yet. However, what she doesn't have in walking she makes up in talking-all the time! She says mama, dada, bye bye and baby really well-and lots of other words we have yet to learn! She has made the transition from bottle to cup and formula to milk really well. She LOVES her new menu of table food-and although she doesn't eat much, she prefers to feed herself completely! She weighs 21 lbs. and is almost 30 in. We visited Midnite Pottery last week to have Elizabeth's 1 year hand prints and foot prints made-can't wait to pick them up in a few weeks! We love "Baby Gul" to pieces and her sweetness is a blessing!
