Happy Birthday, George!
We had a big time yesterday morning celebrating George Menetre's 3rd birthday! His party was at Fire Station #3, and everyone had so much fun. John loved walking through the fire truck, checking out the controls and high-fiving the firemen. It was a great day (and I can't believe these babies are turning THREE this year! Weren't they just born?!)
This sweet girl sat in her stroller most of the time-she was SO good!
The sweet birthday boy, George. This is the best photo I could get of him...three year olds are busy!
John kept pointing to the side of the truck saying "A three, a three!"
Yummy!
We learned that firemen are our friends who help us! John loved giving them "knuckles!"

The Older Sister I Never Had
My family has a lot of members-but thankfully, we are close, and extended family doesn't feel extended at all. I am an only child, so my cousins were always like my brothers and sisters. My cousin Leigh is definitely like my older sister. We have always been close, and been through a lot together. I am posting about her today because I would LOVE for her to find a new friendship (or maybe more???) through Kelly's Korner's Show Us Your Life-Singles Over 40 edition.
Leigh lives in Clarksdale, MS has taught elementary school for 23 years. She is currently working on her National Boards. Leigh is 43 years old. Her boys, Coleman and Miller, are her life.
Coleman is a freshman at Mississippi State University and Miller is a sophomore at Lee Academy in Clarksdale.
When Leigh is not busy with her boys and all of their activities (college and high school life, and pretty much all sports-especially FOOTBALL!) she is involved in her church, Oakhurst Baptist.
This is a picture of Leigh last spring with my daughter, Elizabeth. She is known to my children as Aunt Leigh! If you would like to get in touch with Leigh, just email me at kepannell@hotmail.com or leave a comment. Have a great day!

Happy New Year!
Happy New Year! I love new beginnings of all kinds-what an exciting time! We made this photo last night before Jason and I went to a little NYE party...Elizabeth loved her party attire-John, not so much. We hope you had a great start to 2012!
Also-John and Elizabeth have had a ball with their new toys from Santa! We have cooked and taken care of baby dolls more than I ever thought possible-and loved every minute of it!

We've Had Fun...
The past few days have been so much fun! Jason and I have greatly enjoyed being home with John and Elizabeth...we've finished a little last minute shopping, enjoyed looking at Christmas lights, visited with family and friends, eaten too much good food, and spent a lot of time loving on our babies (and a LOT of time in our pjs!) Here's a few photos from this week...
This is the Aquadoodle that Jason's aunt and uncle gave John. However, it came with one marker, which resulted in WW III after this picture was taken. The Aquadoodle has been put away until Santa brings us an additional marker! I think Elizabeth maybe thought it was a Twister mat???
John created a Shrinky Dink ornament! We made some in my classroom; these are so fun, and I recommend making some if you have small children and never have-we will definitely do it again next year! He colored it, then we baked it at 325 for three minutes. It went from this to...
this! The ornaments shrink down to be really small, and my class at school was so into it. I think John will really think they're cool next year!
John would like to wish everyone Feliz Navidad!!!
We are looking forward to another fun day at Darden today with Jason's family, Christmas Eve tomorrow and then Christmas day. Check back for a post in a few days. Merry Christmas!
